The psychosocial work research group

Purpose of the group

The research group in psychosocial work aims to contribute to the development on the subject of psychosocial work and to ensure research-related teaching for the master's program in psychosocial work. The research group works closely with the field of practice, and actively works to strengthen and develop further the collaborations between the field of practice and the university college.

The research group in psychosocial work promotes research and development work by:

  • arranging regular research seminars for members of the research group
  • actively helping and supporting each other in the development of research projects and applications
  • promoting opportunities for publication and dissemination of research and development work
  • arranging workshops and conferences related to research, and theme days and seminars related to the development of psychosocial work studies
  • promoting collaboration internally and externally
  • building and maintaining regional, national and international networks
  • facilitating master's projects with partners in the practice field, and developing PhD projects in collaboration with external partners
  • encouraging and assisting former master's students in writing articles based on their master's theses

The research seminar is an open arena for joint academic discussions and strategic work. The research group meets regularly for research seminars in the spring and fall semesters.
