Background
I am a political scientist with a PhD in in Human Rights and Peace Studies from the Institute for Human Rights and Peace Studies at Mahidol University, Thailand and a graduate degree (Cand.polit.) in political science from the University of Oslo. My undergraduate degree is a Cand.mag. with French, political science and philosophy as subjects.
I have my post-graduate diploma in education from the University of Oslo (subject didactics: social sciences and foreign language teaching/French) and in education at university/university college level from Østfold University College.
I have previously worked with development aid and with advocacy, i.a. as a former coordinator for PD Burma, a former adviser in development policy and a country program manager for Myanmar for Norwegian Church Aid.
Experience leading seminars at foundation and intermediate levels while a graduate student in political science (1997-1998) and with leading seminars and as course coordinator at Bjørknes/University of Queensland-Bachelor of Journalism (2001-2006).
Experience with peer reviews for i.a. Journal of International Development and Global Responsibility to Protect.
