Early Childhood Studies (0-3 years) is a R&D group with special interest in educational issues and methodologies related to children under three years of age. Both practical, theoretical and methodological issues are at interest and includes a wide range of perspectives, such as critical issues related to gender, social class, functionality, ethnicity etc. In addition, the group members often take a transdisciplinary approach, combining pedagogical perspectives with philosophy, aesthetics, ethics, inclusion, mentoring, professional development and the field of higher education.
Such transdisciplinary approaches allow the members to contribute and participate in thought provoking research endeavours that might open up to different ways of seeing and practice pedagogy among the youngest children.
Cooperative orientations are crucial, in order for the members to support and challenge each other when exploring the various research potentialities.
