Our Purpose
Our purpose with the PhD Forum is to create a network group, which serves the needs of PhDs and brings forward relevant issues that might be of concern. The PhD forum is an independent, non-political, nonreligious, voluntary, non-profit, democratic interest organization that represents the joint interests of all PhD candidates at Østfold University College. All PhD research fellows are welcome and we strive to provide a friendly and supportive environment for all.
Furthermore, a Main Board (MB) is elected to be in charge of leading and administrating the PhD Forum.
The MB for 2023-2024 includes the following members:
-
Chair Samson Ogheneovo Oruma (IIØ)
-
Member: Lekh Nath Baral (LUSP)
-
Member: Xhesika Ramaj (IIØ)
-
The board elects (vice chair, social affairs coordinator, academic affairs coordinator, head of committee, member of committee) among its members.
The PhD Forum is also a member of Stipendiatorganisasjonene i Norge (SiN) or Association of Doctoral Organisations in Norway (with full membership being granted upon establishment of our first PhD program).
