Nyankomne is a series of resources specifically created for teachers working with pupils who are new to Norway. They provide step by step lessons/projects on a variety of topics that are relevant for the diversity of classrooms today. They take into consideration that pupils have a varied experience of English, thus allowing for differentiation.
The red thread throughout is cultural sensitivity, where being new to Norway is seen as a resource. The lessons have been tried and tested with great success, and we are confident that when you work with them they will help you start to develop your own ideas too.
In addition to the resources developed by Elaine, Fremmedspråksenteret will continue teacher development by highlighting resources we believe will support teachers working towards a plurilingual and inclusive approach to English language learning.
