Movie night at Halden campus

The GILDA film club shows classic movies free of charge every Wednesday at 16:15 in Auditorium Max at Halden campus. All students and employees are welcome.

The movie programme for autumn 2018

This Wednesday we have a real treat in store for you. We will be showing the film Ieri oggi domani by the the neo-realistic master director, Vittorio de Sica. Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni play three different couples (!) in three different episodes.

The following week you can experience Gregory Peck in the role as Atticus Finch in the film adaptation of Harper Lee’s modern classical novel To kill a mockingbird.

A number of great classics will be shown until 19 December, when the autumn semester will be wrapped up with Blues Brother. In this film the recently deceased Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, appears together with other musical giants such as Ray Charles and James Brown.

By the end of the semester, we will have shown films by GILDA heroes such as Alfred Hitchcock and Aki Kaurismäki. We will also have marked the 100-year anniversary of Ingmar Bergman by showing Sommeren med Monika, served popcorn and soft drinks to children of all ages during the screening of Cinderella, shivered through the horror stories of The fly, Aliens, and Gaslight, and watched a number of other highlights of film history.

What more could one ask for?

If you have any film suggestions, that would make GILDA even better, please contact the head of the film club Jan Moren.
