I Was a Stranger and You Took Me In is a site-specific installation that explores Black Box space as a performative element in interaction with sound and light.

The dialog between these materials invites the audience to experience the space changing in scale and proportion.
Black Boxes are generally seen and used as an abstract and neutral space. But how neutral can a Black Box really be? Doesn’t the space carry all the memories and experiences from the past performances within its walls?
As alternative perspective we are interested in seeing Black Box as a manipulative space that forces autonomy, form orientation and isolated spectatorship.

There will be five showings on one day, TICKETS NEEDS TO BE BOOKED, limited seats (10 people) per showing.
