Gather (g)Round by Ayesha Jordan

From November 26 until November 28: During this fall, five individual students from MA in Performance shares part of phase one of their research in a series of open events. Next up is Ayesha Jordan, who invites you to join her at beautiful Tredalen on Hvaler this upcoming weekend.

During this fall, five individual students from MA in Performance shares part of phase one of their research in a series of open events. NTA’s study plan for MA in Performance research project is organized as a series of public events happening between fall and spring of the second year of the course, organized in two phases, rather than a single final MA production.

AYESHA JORDAN invites you to Gather (g)Round:

Gather (g)Round is a multi-iterative research project seeking to redefine concepts of community, ecosystems and gathering. An immersive experience where something is always lying deeper beneath the surface. It incorporates the twelve permaculture principles within its stages of development seeking to answer how these principles can be applied to a creative process and explore how we can create regenerative artistic futures. In this first stage we will focus on observation and interaction.

Guests are invited to spend the night, the day or several hours in a cabin by the sea with friends and strangers to gather and discover the myriad ways we can connect. What conversations will arise? What activities will we participate in or create? Ayesha Jordan will initially serve as our facilitator, then passing the torch onto participants to offer their inputs into this weekend gathering. There will be a few performative surprises along the way made by collaborators who may or may not be physically present in the space.

The ultimate goal is to have a good time, create authentic connections, and discover how the weekend can become a contribution to the future. If questions arise please do not hesitate to ask.
