Academic interests

My research and teaching interests are: American and British literature, modernisms, African American women’s literature, the Gothic, film, representations of women in literature/film/visual culture.

My theoretical interests and expertise are: feminist, gender, and queer theories, theories of mimesis and representation, aesthetics, critical race theory, narratology, literary theory, and theories of affect.
