Background
I have a PhD in English Linguistics and a bachelor in Spanish from University of Gothenburg. I have also studied Swedish as a second language, Russian, French, German, Latin, Ancient Greek, Esperanto, Comparative Philology, Phonetics and Phonology, General Linguistics, Cultural Studies, Environmental Science and Physical Geography.
I have previously taught English and Spanish at a secondary school in Sweden, and in Swedish for second language speakers at Folkuniversitetet in Gothenburg. I have subsequently taught linguistics at the University of Gothenburg and linguistics and teacher training at Högskolan i Halmstad and University West in Sweden. I have also taught academic writing at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. I have been employed at Østfold University College since 2017.
My PhD thesis investigates the use of adjective modifiers in Swedish advanced learners' written and spoken English, in comparison with native speakers.
