RIDE is deeply involved in various aspects of digitization and language. These new technologies are designed to facilitate language learning. The aim is to support both learners and teachers in their learning.

A significant area which RIDE works with is in the use of AI for language learning.  We are looking to reshape the educational experience by harnessing the use of artificial intelligence where we as researchers will incorporate pedagogical principles into AI algorithms. This pedagogically modeled artificial intelligence provides learners with instant feedback which supports learners in their language learning. Through advanced technology, we would like to empower learners in their own learning and support teachers in their instructions. The use of digital technologies has customized individual feedback that helps learners to regulate their own learning and this saves time and resources. This technology prepares learners for collaborative work at individual and collective levels. Thus, the project Artificial Intelligence Assessment for Learning aligns with this vision where personalized feedback is given to the learners to improve their language learning.

In addition to formative feedback, RIDE is equally committed to how digital technologies can play a role in wide areas of language and multilingualism. This is a process where RIDE is committed to innovations and solutions to optimize language learning.
