About me
I joined HiØ in August 2021, and my main interests are focused on quantitative methods. As passionate about applied biostatistics, I dedicate my time to helping students and colleagues analyze their data using the best analytical approach to solve their hypotheses. I have worked and collaborated to provide statistical consultancy in different knowledge areas, mainly focusing on the medical area (ophthalmology, oncology, virology, psychiatry, neuroimaging, pediatrics) and education, psychology, astrophysics, and archaeology.
Teaching Experience
I have taught advanced statistics since 2014 as courses on introduction to psychometrics and latent variable modeling, mediation, and moderation analysis, missing data analysis, and sample size calculation focused on experimental design. I am versatile in software use (SPSS, STATA, and Mplus), but I always try to focus my classes on using Mplus, given its incredible flexibility in expanding complex modelling. Being aware that statistics and quantitative reasoning could be not appreciated by every student (especially for those compulsorily enrolled in such subject), I always try to make classes more digestible by bringing real-world examples, hands-on exercises, and avoiding technical terms and equations.
