The project has been postponed by Corvid-19 incident. Unlike other projects, there are no way for online internship or placement, so there was no real action for the operative part of the project. We summarized these ongoing activities with BJTU partner meetings online:
Regular meetings for information updating from BJTU and entire China regarding traveling restriction rules and openings.
Few special meetings regarding BJTU curriculum updating and modifying for future Norwegian internship candidates to BJTU, particular receiving organizations, operative goals and target tasks.
For 2019
One 1 student conducing pilot internship 1 month in a cased company in the summer 2019 organized by BJTU, then the student starts regular exchange and enrolls BJTU courses for the fall semester.

Goals and expected results
Understanding of business cultures and good commanding of diverse business situations are the essential skills required for Norwegian engineers. This aspect however is often missing in many ordinary engineering teaching programs but highly demanding by business communities.
China still is, seen by the eyes of many Norwegian students, an existing and exotic, but at the same time remote and challengeable country to visit or even think as an exchange destination. This is due to language and cultural barriers for practical step moves. This project intends to make some steps easier to move for Norwegian students and learning Chinese cultures, including business cultures.
The project goal is sampling good cases of teaching Norwegian students about Chinese business cultures through internship practices, combined with university supportive programs in courses and project coaching in addition to the internship.
Expected results
Establishing good and reliable network with a hosting company or organization for internship Norwegian student placement.
Collecting experiences, good samples and beneficial cases for internship candidates and for the hosting company.
Motivating and promoting more Norwegian engineering students aiming toward China and learning Chinese business cultures as one of essential engineering skills.
