SNUG: Innovative methodology based in circular economy and artificial intelligence to foster the transition to Sustainable and very high eNergy performance bUildinGs at a cost optimal level

Enter SNUG, an EU co-funded project with a duration of 42 months dedicated to maximising energy efficiency and minimising greenhouse gas emissions in the construction sector, all while ensuring cost-effectiveness.

Project summary

SNUG aims to develop a methodology to assist builders and architects in choosing the most appropriate thermal insulation materials and strategies for new construction or renovations. This approach contributes to energy efficiency optimisation and greenhouse gas emissions reduction throughout a building's life cycle, ultimately enhancing its environmental impact and helping achieve a ZEB (Zero Energy Building) rating. Co-funded by the European Union, under Grant Agreement 101123150.

The SNUG project has also received funding from the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) and the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).

The project is financed by the Horizon Europe programme. This is a 42 months project, which started on the 1st of November 2023. The project is a collaboration between:
