EEA Research Grant
Our project proposal entitled “Sun Power & cooperation fusion for chEaper Electrical Devices manufacturing - SPEED”, submitted in March 2019 at Energy Programme-Focus area: Renewable energy, Energy efficiency call, received 270.000 Euro funding from Innovation Norway; The project is financed by the EEA and Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.
The Project Promoter is a Romanian entity: SC AMIRAS C&L Impex SRL, and the two Project Partners are from Norway, Østfold University College – HIOF and NxTech AS.
Project Outcomes are to increase the capacity of the existing system by delivering renewable energy, to reduce CO2 emissions, to increase knowledge on energy efficiency and energy security-based RES and to enhance the collaboration between beneficiary and donor entities involved in the project.
Our project will contribute to the outcomes by putting into operation a number of 3 new PV installations with a total estimated installed power of: 129 kWp and the potential to reduce 98.76 tons of CO2 emissions. All 3 Distributed Energy Resources (DER) generators are interconnected into one Micro-Grid able to operate in 3 ways: disconnected from the main grid, power assist mode, self-consumption priority mode. From a control point of view, this Micro-Grid will be operated by SCADA type software. This system will monitor all loads, power generation and stored energy. The control software will be at least able to forecast next day production and predict next day/week consumption based on API interconnection to weather forecast and measured consumption data. Main control decision will consider annual energy balance to define seasonal storage behavior.
HIOF and NxTech will be responsible for providing energy efficiency solutions, innovation advisory and support services in the field of real time data platform integrating the PV plant with the building integration infrastructure into one common cloud interface to monitor and service the installations and for testing the IoT system, communication platform for EMS with sensors integration to Gateway and cloud interface, logistic support, installation and building data routing to different service providers;
