General ICAPAI information

The theme of the  4th International Conference on Applied Artificial Intelligence (ICAPAI 2024) will be
Human-Centric AI for the Digital Society”. ICAPAI will provide an excellent international forum for
sharing knowledge and results in theory, methodology and applications of Artificial Intelligence that
enables a more Digitalized Society. The conference aims to provide a platform to researchers and
practitioners from both academia and industry to meet and share information about cutting-edge
developments in the field. ICAPAI 2024 welcomes papers in the following thematic areas:

  • AI for digitalized health and welfare
  • AI for digitalized education
  • AI for digitalized work life and work organizations
  • Basic research and technological foundations of AI for the digital society
  • AI for energy technology
  • Ethical and societal implications of AI in the digital society

Authors are welcome to contribute to the conference by submitting articles that illustrate on-going
research results, projects, surveying works and industrial experiences that describe significant
advances in all of the related areas. All papers must be original and not simultaneously submitted to
another journal or conference. Papers submitted to ICAPAI 2024 will undergo a double-blind review
process. All papers that are accepted and presented in ICAPAI 2024 will be published in the ICAPAI
2024 Conference Proceedings by IEEE
(Level 1 in the Norwegian system) and will be submitted for inclusion into IEEE Xplore® (subject to meeting IEEE Xplore's requirements). Each paper should be between 6 and 8 pages, including figures, tables and references.

Keynote Speakers

Robertas Damaševičius

Robertas Damaševičius is a professor at the Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania), Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania), and an Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Silesian University of Technology (Poland). He is the author of more than 500 articles and a monograph published by Springer. His research interests include sustainable software engineering, human–computer interfaces, assisted living, consumer behavior, and new business models. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the Information Technology and Control journal. He has been the Guest Editor of several invited issues of international journals. According to Stanford University (USA), he is in the world's Top 2% of Scientists list.

Miguel Ángel Ferrer Ballester

Miguel A. Ferrer is a professor at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain) and belongs to the Institute for Technological Development and Innovation in Communications. His research interests lie in behavioral biometrics and its applications to security, education, health, sports, and robotics. He has co-authored around 100 papers in scientific journals and book chapters in these areas, in addition to participating in conferences. He has also extended human kinematic models to cattle and aquaculture to improve their productivity. In these areas, he has built several real and synthetic databases that are freely available to the scientific community. He has co-authored the monograph “The Lognormality Principle and its Applications in E-Security, E-Learning, and E-Health,” which was published by World Scientific.
