Academic interests
My research interests are specially connected to philosophy of science and development of qualitative research methodologies. I conduct qualitative research in the fields of child welfare, critical psychosocial work and critical criminology. I am particularly concerned about the scientific basis for practice; child welfare as a knowledge and practice field, how psychosocial health is understood in the digital society, carceral geography; punishment, spaces and practices of incarceration. My research focusing on concepts as embodiment, emotion, reflexivity, space, materiality and architecture.
Courses taught
My teaching areas are in social science subjects; such as child welfare, critical social work and critical psychosocial work, criminology, academic writing, philosophy of science and research methodology.
Background
I am an educated child welfare educator (bachelor), Cand.Polit in criminology (master) and Dr. Polit (phd.) from the Faculty of Law University of Oslo. Ihave many years of experience from various fields of practice, teaching and research. I have previously worked as a researcher and lecturer at University of Oslo (the Institute of Criminology, Faculty of Law) and at Oslo and Akershus University College (Faculty of Social Sciences, now Oslomet University).
