About the Department
The Department of Welfare, Management and Organization is one of two departments within the Faculty of Health, Welfare and Organization. The department has approximately 1175 students and 70 employees.
The department offers education at bachelor's level in child welfare, foster care, social work, labor and welfare subjects. In addition, the department offers continuing education courses such as violence in close relationships, measures against sexual abuse and several continuing courses in collaboration with HiØ’s Centre for Continuing Education (HiØ Videre)
The department also offers master's degrees in child welfare work, in organization and management, in coordination of health and welfare services and in psychosocial work.
The department has a large and active professional environment with a commitment to teaching and research that spans several disciplines.
