Working areas
After 3 periods as director of the Norwegian National Centre for English and Other Foreign Languages I am on sabbatical leave. I will, however, be involved in different international projects and duties, such as being Norway's representative at the European Centre for Modern Languages (CoE), where I am elected vice chair (2022-2023)
Short Curriculum vitae
I graduated in German (MA) from the University of Oslo in 1983 and continued at the University of Kiel (Germany), where I was awarded the Dr. phil. degree (German, English and Nordic). From 1990 I have been employed at the Østfold University (Halden), where I have been teaching German. I have also had different positions as head of department, dean, member of the university board and recently director of the Norwegian National Centre for English and Other Foreign Languages (2010-2022).
