HiØ (Østfold University College) announces up to 100,000 NOK in positioning funds for research environments that wish to apply for research funding from the EU’s Horizon Europe framework program. The deadline for applications is September 13th. The positioning funds can be used for activities that contribute to the development of high-quality grant proposals, including but not limited to travel and participation in meetings. Financial support is not provided for buying out time, internal events, or writing seminars. It is expected that activities related to positioning and project development/establishment will be carried out during the researcher’s allocated R&D time. Along with the financial support, extended support is also provided by the research administration and project controllers.
The application should be a maximum of three pages and should include a description of:
- Project leader/main applicant
- Project participants at HiØ
- Brief summary of the project or contribution as a partner
- External collaborators (feel free to include desired collaboration with unidentified partners)
- Plan for the use of funds
- Draft Concept Note (maximum two additional pages alongside the application)
Allocation of funds requires anchoring within one’s own department and faculty. Applications are assessed based on their alignment with HiØ’s focus areas, interdisciplinary projects, and project leaders/academic environments that have demonstrated particular potential for securing external funding and carrying out larger projects.
Applications will be reviewed by the Vice Rector for Research and the Deans for Research across the three faculties. In the case of applications from the academy, a representative from there will participate in the evaluation committee.
