Group Appointments for Registering with Police

The Immigration Office (Politiets Publikumssenter) in Sarpsborg offers international students at HiØ group appointments. We encourage all students that have to go to the Immigration Office to take advantage of these group appointments to avoid long waiting times should you try to book on your own.

The Immigration Office in Sarpsborg has set up group appointments for international students at HiØ that need to either submit documents or register with the police. The date for these group appointments is Wednesday, January 17.

Students that sign-up using the form below can come to the Immigration Office between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. Students will not be giving a specific time but must arrive during this time slot. Depending on when students choose to arrive at the Immigration Office, there might be some waiting time.

The registration will happen on the 3rd and 4th floors and students are asked to use both floors to reduce waiting time.

It is important that students know what they have to do before the appointment and what they need to bring to their appointment. The information on our website can be a good place to start gathering information but it is important to note that you have to always refer to the information provided on the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration's website

The Immigration Office has specifically asked us to remind students to bring the following:

- Passport
- Confirmation of sufficient funds (this can be a personal declaration for EU/EEA citizens)
- Documentation of health insurance or European Healthcard
- Confirmation of admission (email from Østfold University College with your admission decision)

All students must also submit an application before arriving at the Immigration Office.

While HiØ helps to book these appointments, students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the Immigration Office.

THE DEADLINE TO SIGN-UP IS MONDAY, JANUARY 15.
