Programme for the opening day at Campus Halden
10:00 - Opening ceremony at Byparken in Halden
The opening ceremony takes place in beautiful premises right next to Halden train station. From the stage, you will be welcomed to the university, the city, and student life here with us. The rector and student leader will address you and your fellow students. There will also be musical entertainment.
Byparken is a short walk from campus (approximately 30 minutes) and just a few steps from Halden train station.
For those who don’t come directly to Byparken or prefer not to walk, buses will be available outside the main entrance. The first bus departs at 09:00, and the last bus leaves at 09:30. We recommend that you arrive in good time.
10:45 - Return to campus
Buses back to campus. For those who prefer it, there’s a nice walk back to campus. This way, you have the opportunity to get to know both the city and your fellow students. Otherwise, buses are available right outside the venue. We’ll serve a simple lunch to all new students. We offer gluten-free, vegan, and lactose-free options.
