11:30 - Walk together to the opening ceremony from Fredrikstad campus
If you’d like to walk with others to Blå Grotte, there will be a joint departure from both the student parking lot at the beginning of the underpass and outside the main entrance on campus at 11:30. Look for hosts wearing yellow vests.
12:00 - Opening ceremony at Kulturhuset Blå Grotte in Fredrikstad
The opening ceremony takes place in beautiful premises right in the city center. From the stage, you will be welcomed to the university, the city, and student life here with us. The rector and student leader will address you and your fellow students. There will also be musical entertainment. The main language used in the ceremony is norwegian.
12:45 - Return to campus
It’s a nice short walk of approximately 15 minutes back to campus. This way, you have the opportunity to get to know both the city and your fellow students. We’ll serve a simple lunch to all new students. We offer gluten-free, vegan, and lactose-free options.
