Absolute requirements
The course builds on Norwegian as a Foreign Language I or equivalent. The student has to have passed the exam in Norwegian as a Foreign Language I in order to qualify for the course in Norwegian as a Foreign Language II.

52 h language instruction.
Workload
The course will give the student approximately 250-270 hours of work. The student is expected to devote min. 12 - 15 hours per week to self-study.
Coursework requirements - conditions for taking the exam
The course has two obligatory assignments:
1) A written text.
2) An oral presentation.
The coursework must be approved before signing up for the final exam.
In addition, 80% compulsory attendance in teaching is a requirement in order to qualify for the exam.
Examination
A 4-hour written individual examination.
Permitted aids: a printed dictionary. The students have to choose from:
- Mother tongue-Norwegian-Mother tongue,
- Mother tongue-English-Mother tongue or
- English-Norwegian-English
Grades: A-F.
Examiners
External and internal examiner or two internal examiners.
Course evaluation
Student evaluation of teaching will be carried out at the end of the semester.
