Content

A green business model refers to the continuous improvement, innovation and learning undertaken by a value-driven enterprise in an interconnected ecosystem, with regard to nature, energy and renewal, in order to have a positive impact on society as a whole. It is run by an organisation that is forward-looking when it comes to sustainability from an economic, environmental and social point of view.. This means that green business models are an emerging phenomenon where the enterprise can constantly improve.

The course includes:

• Investigation of sustainable business model theories and methods

• Development of new (green) business models

• Carrying out a development project in teams

Forms of teaching and learning

The teaching is based on a large degree of student activity, and will alternate between introductory lectures, group work, projects and seminars. The project work involves the development of one or more sustainable business models in an enterprise, with available guidance from the lecturer.

Workload

Organised learning activities: 40 hours

Self-study and project work: 200 hours

Examination preparation and implementation: 30 hours

Coursework requirements - conditions for taking the exam

Participation in project work.

Examination

Individual academic reflection report on project work.

The scope of the report is up to 15 pages.

Permitted examination support material: All

Individual grades are given.

Grading scale A-F, where A is the highest grade and F is a fail.

Examiners

External and internal examiner or two internal examiners.

Conditions for resit/rescheduled exams

If the examination is not passed or candidates wish to improve their grade, the course must be retaken.

Course evaluation

Final evaluation of the course between the lecturer and students.
