- knowledge and understanding of opportunities and challenges in businesses as a result of digitalization
- knowledge and understanding of how digitalization and new technological changes can be integrated into businesses

- implement practical projects using various digital tools
- demonstrate ability for independent and critical assessment through application of course knowledge

Content
The ever-accelerating technological development with a strong focus on digitization will change what private and public companies are working on and how they carry out their work. The development of digital technologies provides new opportunities, but also challenge the companies. Businesses operate in an ever-changing landscape, where their ability to understand development and link it to their strategy, work processes and innovation, can make it easier to maneuver. Through the course, a number of topics within digitalization will be discussed, to provide students insight into and understanding of digital tools and methods. The course focuses on topics such as:
- models and trends characterizing a digital development
- digital communication and marketing
- value chains IoT, big data, AI, visualization
- blockchain and similar models
Digital development is defined from a learning perspective, and focuses on core areas within digital development, which is about achieving a good interaction between participants, knowledge and technology.
Forms of teaching and learning
Seminars, lectures, workshops, guest lectures and case presentations. The students are actively involved through problem solving and completing an independent team based project. Project work is carried out as problem-based learning in teams with a high degree of independent work, guided in teams and in joint sessions.

Coursework requirements - conditions for taking the exam
Participation in group-based project work as well as ongoing delivery of all elements in the folder. Each group consist of 3-5 students.
Examination
Submission of group work (group size 3-5) in a folder with a total of three submissions. Each group consist of 3-5 students.
An overall grade is given on the submitted work according to character rule A-F, where A is best grade and F is not passed.
Examiners
External and internal sensor or two interal sensors.
Conditions for resit/rescheduled exams
New and postponed exam is conducted the next semester. In the case of new or postponed examination, a new work folder must be submitted.
Course evaluation
Ongoing evaluation of the teaching throughout the semester, where the method of evaluation is agreed between the subject teacher(s) and students.
