Content

The subject Technologies and digitization in sustainable business models and ecosystem innovation focuses on how and to what extent technologies and digitization can help create or support sustainable business models and ecosystems in businesses and industries. Various technologies such as quantum computing, artificial intelligence and machine learning, automation and robotics, virtual and augmented reality, blockchain, internet of things etc., as well as digitization will be analyzed with a perspective of sustainable business models and ecosystem innovation.

Forms of teaching and learning

The teaching is based on a large degree of student activity, and will alternate between introductory lectures, group work, projects and seminars.

The project work consists of evaluating the suitability of different technologies and the digitization potential in the development of sustainable business models and ecosystems in a business. Furthermore, to make a subsequent recommendation with a well-described description of a case in which technologies and digitization are included as the main themes in a sustainable change project.

Workload

250-300 hours

Coursework requirements - conditions for taking the exam

Participation in project work.

Work requirements must be approved before the student can appear for the exam.

Examination

The exam in the subject consists of an individual academic reflection report on project work.

The extent of the report is up to 15 pages.

Allowed aids: All

An individual grade is given.

Grading rule A-F, where A is the best grade and F is not passed.

Examiners

External and internal sensor or two internal sensors.

Conditions for resit/rescheduled exams

If the exam is not passed or the grade wants improved, the course must be taken again.

Course evaluation

Final evaluation of the subject between subject teacher and students.
