Compulsory course in Bachelor of Engineering for students with specialization in Digital electronics (also for TRESS and Y-vei)
Students with specialization in Power Engineering will have this course in their third year (IRE32014 Kommunikasjonsnett), but they may also take this course in their second year together with student from Digital electronics.

Forms of teaching and learning

The teaching is carried out using lectures, assignments, and project reports, and the language of instruction may be English if necessary.
A project report, further defined by the subject teacher, which is included in the assessment / examination must be prepared,- see Assessment.

Coursework requirements - conditions for taking the exam

10 assignments
Coursework requirements must be accepted to qualify for the exam.

Examination

Project report and individual written exam, 4 hours
In answer to assignment 1 on a written exam, a project report must be included. The report is prepared during the semester, brought and submitted for the exam and weighted as 25% of the answer.

Permitted aids: Curriculum literature and other specified aids, as well as a calculator.
Grade rule A to F, where A is the best grade and F is not passed.

External and internal examiner, or two internal examiners.

Conditions for resit/rescheduled exams

The resit exam will be held early in the following semester. More information can be found here

If the student fails the written exam, they can re-take this exam maximum two more times. The students do not need to do the coursework assignments again to be allowed a re-take of the written exam. Improvement of the grade is to be done at the next scheduled ordinary exam
