  • familiar with a number of approaches to German teaching in school.

  • familiar with the development and use of learning resources, primarily digital resources.

Skills

The student

  • has improved proficiency in understanding written and oral German texts (text comprehension) as well having enhanced general active language skills, being able to write and speak correct German.

Content

The didactics part is organised as a practical seminar discussing various teaching concepts and ideas. Examples of the use of digital tools in language teaching are used as a basis for the theory discussion as well as for practical work. When students who are active teachers of German participate, the exchange of experience will be an aspect of the seminar. Practice in writing German texts is mainly in the form of active participation on the programme website, using such participation as a process and reflection tool when working with the course. Additionally, there are oral and written presentations of the projects carried out in the course of the semester.

Forms of teaching and learning

The instruction is organised as bloc seminars and webbased teaching.

Workload

Approx. 560 hours.

Coursework requirements - conditions for taking the exam

A project is to be carried out dealing with German didactics and the use of ICT, either individually or in teams according to the students' own choice.

The coursework must be completed and approved before the oral exam.

Examination

Oral examination (individual or in a group), in total approx. 40 minutes

The students first present their project work in plenum, for the other students on the course (approx. 20 minutes).
