Forms of teaching and learning

Lectures are given, and students are expected to participate actively in conversations about the subject matter and in developing their own language skills and understanding as well as that of the others. Language practice is performed individually, in pairs or in small groups. Teaching is mainly done in Spanish.

The content of the course is available on the digital learning platform and through webbased teaching. There is also the possibility of some instruction and tutorials in Halden, provided the number of students is sufficient.

Self-study is an important aspect of the course, thus it is expected of the students that they study an essential part of the syllabus on their own. It is for instance expected of them that they form study groups on their own initiative, and that they work independently with authentic texts, for instance reading Spanish papers and watching Spanish programmes on TV or the Internet.
