The student's learning outcomes after completing the course
Knowledge
The students will have acquired knowledge of how digital tools may be used to practice oral proficiency both individually and in interaction with others, and how such tools may be used after completed study programme to sustain and further develop oral proficiency. They will know central characteristics of German speech and simple, oral, situational communication strategies.
Skills
The students will have good active skills in oral German and be able to adapt these skills to communicative situations and needs, as well as communicate with good pronunciation and intonation. They are able to understand German speech in various types of media.
General competence
The students are able to use digital tools in a number of communicative situations.
Content
Oral proficiency is built through interaction, text production and presentation, and text comprehension.
Pronunciation, morphology, syntax and vocabulary are emphasised and investigated in the context of different situations and genres.
Forms of teaching and learning
Practices using digital, mainly Internet-based tools.
Coursework requirements - conditions for taking the exam
None.
Examination
Portfolio assessment
The portfolio will contain four contributions that serve to document the students' activities in the course, dealing with the topics mentioned under 'Course outline'. Assessment on the A-F grading scale.
In the case of re-examination a new portfolio must be submitted. In the case of complaint, the whole portfolio will be reassessed.
