Content

Communicative and intercultural language skills are developed through oral practices in authentic situations and using digital tools. A basic understanding of French as a foreign language is developed through didactic issues and through the relationship between objectives and activities and between individual learning and activities.

Forms of teaching and learning

The course is taught as group lessons, and as web encounters in the case of the web students. The learning platform is used for distribution of documents, central course material and assignments. Self-study is an important learning method, and so are web forums.

Coursework requirements - conditions for taking the exam

14 short written assignments are to be handed in during the autumn and spring semesters. Active participation in oral exercises is required.

The coursework must be handed in by given deadlines and approved before a student may take the final exam.

Examination

An individual oral examination of approx. 30-45 minutes
The candidate’s oral understanding and production is tested. The result is given on the A-F grading scale with A as the best mark, E as the lowest passing mark, and F denoting a failed result.

Relevant texts and material are published on the learning platform before the beginning of the semester.
