Content

Discussion groups are offered in chosen topics related to society, culture, literature or language in one or more of the German-speaking countries.  This activity forms the basis for the individual topic each student chooses to work with in depth. Individual guidance is offered during the writing process. The choice of topic will have to be approved by the course instructor.

Forms of teaching and learning

Independent work with facilitation. Library resources and other electronic resources should be used actively, and students will act as respondents to each other in the process.

None.

Examination

The basis for assessment is an individual term paper (approx. 10 pages with 1 ½ line spacing, additional illustrations are welcome) with correct references and notes. More information on the term paper will be given in class.

 

The assessment takes into consideration: level of knowledge, information gathering, independence, and ability to formulate. The paper is to be submitted within a stipulated deadline, and individual tutorials are scheduled during the writing.

Marks are given on the A-F grading scale.
