Content

Basic concepts in the field of economics and business administration and the field of organisational theory, such as market, inflation, interest, profitability, estimates, accounts, organisational structure, and organisational culture are discussed, differentiated and seen in relation to each other. Concrete issues from e.g. newspaper articles and broadcast news are the starting points of the discussion of concepts.

Forms of teaching and learning

Lectures, group work and discussion seminars. Some concepts are studied independently and presented by the students and discussed in plenum. The course is taught in Norwegian.

None.

Coursework requirements - conditions for taking the exam

One written assignment must be submitted and approved by the given deadline before the student may sign up for the final examination.

Examination

A 4-hour written examination. Grading scale: A-F. No aids permitted.
