No special prerequisities beyond basic mathematics and programming skills.
Lecture Semester
Autumn 2009Content
The first part of the course will focus on basis principles of Computer Gaphics and OpenGL, and programming in Java with JOGL. This part of the course will be given at the university college.
The second part of the course will focus on the building and use of non-trivial scenes. Tools will be Java3D with additional libraries for input control. This part of the course will be given at the Institute for Energy Technology, Halden.

Coursework requirements - conditions for taking the exam
The students will complete one project in each of the two parts of the course. The projects will be presented on the web and in a plenary session. The two projects are mandatory.
The projects must be approved before the final exam.
Examination
The assessment is based on a report on the two projects carried out in the course. An oral exam may additionally take place and may influence the final assessment.
Grades: A - F.
In the case of Fail, the student must submit and present a new or amended project report.
