The course is based on mathematical skills from secondary school equivalent to 2MX, R1 or (S1+S2).

Content

The following subjects will be taught:

  • Numeral systems
  • Combinatorics
  • Set theory
  • Relations and discrete functions
  • Logic and mathematical reasoning
  • Complex numbers
  • Difference equations
  • Linear equations, matrices and determinants
  • Graphs and trees

Forms of teaching and learning

Lectures and practice lessons, 4 - 6 hours per week.

Coursework requirements - conditions for taking the exam

In order to be registered for the exam. 6 exercises must be completed and approved.
In addition, participation at two individual tests is required.

Examination

4 hours writted exam, graded A-F.

Permitted aids: Two sheets (four pages of A4), with the student's own notes.
