It is recommended that the student has passed exams in the subject: IRE10517 Electrical Circuits, or equivalent.

- performs calculations and simulations on electronic circuits
- designs simple electronic circuits
- connects, measures and evaluates results from practical laboratory work as well as simulations
- reads and understands electronic connection forms
- reads, understands and prepares documentation for electronic circuits

Content
The following theme will be highlighted:
- Diodes and diode circuits
- Amplifiers with bipolar transistors and field effect transistors
- Circuits with ideal operating amplifiers
- Frequency Considerations
- Laplace calculations
- Digital elements
- Transformation between analogue and digital signals
- Filters
- Calculations and simulations
Forms of teaching and learning
The teaching is conducted as lectures, theoretical exercises and practical assignments in the laboratory.
Workload
250-300 hours
Coursework requirements - conditions for taking the exam
- Minimum 7 approved laboratory exercises
- Minimum 5 approved assignments
Work requirements must be approved before the students can attend the exam.
Examination
4 hours written individual exam.
Permitted aids: Personal formula collection (10 sheets). Calculator, with empty memory, that cannot compute symbolically and that cannot be used for wireless communication.
Grades: A-F.
Examiners
One internal and one external examiner or two internal examiner.
Course evaluation
Continous evaluation of the teaching during the semester in which evaluation method is agreed upon between the teacher (-s) and students.
Written final evaluation of the course.
