Summary: This book tells the story about Alice who is a girl scout and likes to have fun and try new things with her troop. But, sometimes, she is afraid of trying new things, like canoeing and going down the zip line. She is also nervous about raising her hand in class being afraid that her answers will be wrong. She discusses this at a scouts’ meeting, and many of the girls feel the same. They also experience that more boys raise their hands in class than the girls do. They agree on developing a programme called “Raise your hand”.
