Summary: Farah, a young girl, is the new kid in school. She is from another country and does not speak the language. In addition, she also wears a dupatta which makes her stand out from the others. One day, the teacher takes the students on a field trip to an orchard. The students are all allowed to pick one apple each which they put into a machine to make cider. On this trip, Farah experiences that there are many things that sound the same as back home. She learns the word “apple”, and, slowly, she connects with the other children.
