Summary: This is the story about a sister and a brother who have been allowed to go to the pet shop and pick a pet. But, they find it extremely difficult to decide; there are so many different pets to choose among, and they all have their special characteristics. However, they must make a choice, because they promised to be back home before noon. Finally, they make a decision, but their choice is not revealed to the readers. This cliffhanger ending will stir children’s imagination and generate discussion about what pet is in the children’s basket when they are leaving the pet shop.
