Connections to the Curriculum in English:  This book encourages to talk about the importance of having friends and how friends can support each other. This is a rhyming story and encourages to work with phonemes, spelling and rhyming words. Furthermore, this book can be used to practice presenting the content of books to each other.

Summary: The Go-Away bird sits up in her nest. When other birds fly into her tree asking to talk or play, she just tells them to go away. Suddenly, a big brown bird arrives wanting to eat her, and the Go-away bird realizes that she could need some friends to help her.
