Get started with GPT UiO
- Go to the website: https://gpt.uio.no
- Click on the "Log in with Feide" button
- Log in with Feide as normal.
- Select "Høgskolen i Østfold" as affiliation if necessary.
- Read and accept the terms of use.
- Select "New chat" to start the service.
- Type your question and press ENTER to send it.
You are now in GPT UiO. When you create new conversations, you get a number of suggestions for use, these are good examples of areas of use for AI chatbots. These can be adapted to your own needs and are a good starting point for use.
Some recommendations
- It is recommended that you start a new conversation for each topic you want to talk to the chatbot about. This will provide the best answers to your questions.
- You can paste text directly into the conversation window from e.g. Word. Note, however, that there is a maximum limit for the length of the text of around 3,000 words.
- Note that only green and yellow data can be entered in GPT UiO. More information about data classifications can be found here.
GPT UiO only has advance knowledge of events up to and including September 2021. This means that events, news and information after this are not in the data set of the service. If you need updated information in the AI solution, you must therefore use Microsoft Copilot.
GPT UiO does not have access to the internet, if there is a need for updated information in the conversation or you need access to recent research, you must therefore use Microsoft Copilot.
GPT UiO cannot generate, view or process images as of now. If you need this functionality, you must therefore use Microsoft Copilot.
