The Østfold AI hub (ØAI) is an academic hub for research, education and innovation in Artificial Intelligence for tomorrow’s Digitalized Society.
The ØAI hub is hosted by the Faculty of Computer Science, Engineering and Economics at the Østfold University College. At the Østfold AI hub, we consider AI an enabling technology in order to facilitate a transformative impact across various sectors. Our focus is on harnessing AI's potential to address critical challenges and advance societal well-being, ensuring ethical, sustainable, and inclusive growth.
ØAI hub engages in a series of activities, including several ongoing research projects, a strong team of AI researchers, and a wide range of educational programs at Østfold University College (from undergraduate courses to PhD opportunities). ØAI hub collaborates nationally and internationally with private and public partners, policymakers, and other academic institutions to foster a multidisciplinary approach towards AI development and application. The ØAI hub’s vision is aligned with the Østfold University College’s priority area “The Digital Society” and the PhD program in “Digitalization and Society”.
