DigiEd promotes research that uses educational theory til analyze how technology changes learning processes and knowledge, and explores how digitalization affects the field of education.

DigiEd encourages research that utilizes educational theory to analyse how digitalisation transforms the processes of learning and knowledge and to assess the impact of digitalisation on education.

The research group focuses on developing methods, tools, and techniques to increase participation in both professional and end-user design practices in the digital society. We aim to further the agenda of making design accessible to everyone, by empowering people with tools to actively engage in and contribute to co-creative practices in the digital society. Currently, the group is involved in projects in several domains, health, education, engineering, and media, providing a diverse research environment for the group members.

The main objective of this project is to conduct and evaluate a social skills intervention using Head Mounted Displayses for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

This projects focus on how media present and discuss Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). 

Research in Digital Education (RIDE) er en tverrfaglig forskergruppe som består av forskere og stipendiater med ulike faglig bakgrunn og utforsker barns, unges og voksnes utdanning og teknologibruk. RIDE er en sentral aktør innenfor Høgskolen i Østfolds satsningsområde Det digitale samfunn og Østfold AI-hub. 

I dette prosjektet har vi fokus på hvordan ulike former for autisme blir presentert og diskutert i ulike medier. 

Målet med dette prosjektet er å gjennomføre og evaluere en sosial ferdighetsintervensjon ved bruk av hodemonterte skjermer for barn og ungdom med autismespektrumforstyrrelse.

DigiEd fremmer forskning som bruker utdanningsteori til å analysere hvordan teknologi endrer læringsprosesser og kunnskap, og utforsker hvordan digitalisering påvirker utdanningsfeltet.

ACDICOM’s main objective is to provide common protocols and standards for the improved exchange of cyber threat information between individuals and organisations experiencing a cyber incident. This primary aim will lead to easier and more efficient communication between individuals and organisations, across societal sectors, hierarchical layers and professional backgrounds.

The project objective is to advance the performance of the cybersecurity (CS) specialist by identifying possible improvements from three different perspectives: 1) considering the human as a biological entity, 2) analyzing behaviour patterns of the person; and 3) addressing the necessary knowledge and skills of the cybersecurity specialist.

Cybersikkerhet er gjenstand for rask teknologisk fremgang. Det medfører et økende behov for en vitenskapelig forståelse av det enkelte menneskes begrensninger og ytelse i interaksjon med cybertrusler. ACDICOM skal bidra til å øke denne forståelsen og dermed gi grunnlag for bedre beslutningsresultater.

The research group belongs to The Department of Natural Sciences, Practical-Aesthetic, Social and Religious Studies, a part of the Faculty of Teacher Education and Languages.

Denne forskningsgruppen har sitt utspring i matematikk- og naturfagsmiljøet ved Fakultet for lærerutdanninger og språk og forsker på didaktikk i realfag i lærerutdanningen. 

Prosjektets mål er å utvikle prestasjonene til cybersikkerhetsspesialister ved å indentifisere ulike perspektiver som biologiske forutsetninger, atferdsmønstere og nødvendig kunnskap og kompetanse. Les mer på prosjektets hjemmeside. 

Østfold University College, Volda University College, Halden Municipality and Hypatia Learning AS will jointly implement the project "Artificial intelligence for assessment for learning to strengthen learning and teaching in the 21st century".
